Principal Investigator

Maciej T. Krajcarz

Maciej is the P.I. of the project. He is responsible for analysis of sedimentary and post-sedimentary processes and evaluation of the assemblages' homogeneity. He cares about the compilation of results of all co-investigators and known published data on paleoenvironment, archaeology and paleoanthropology of studied sites and region.

Co-investigators

Greta Brancaleoni

In the project, Greta studies sedimentology of Obishirian sites in Kyrgyzstan (Obishir-1, Obishir-5, Aigyrzhal) through micromorphological analyses of sediments. These studies comprise the main topic of her PhD subject.

Svetlana V. Shnaider

Svetlana is responsible in the project for archaeological material from sites in Kyrgyzstan: preparation of the database of archival excavated materials; supervision over the archaeological material involved into project, and compilation of geological results with accessible archaeological data.

Malgorzata Lempart-Drozd

Małgorzata (Gosia) conducts in the project the mineralogical analyses of fossil bones and teeth to reconstruction possible chemical alteration routes. She evaluates the reliability of chemical singature recorded within bioapatite and its usefullness for paleoenvironmental interpretation.

Kseniya A. Kolobova

Kseniya takes care in the project over an archaeological material from sites in Altai, including management over databases of archival material and supervision over the archaeological material involved into project. She is also engaged into statistical treatment of our research data.

Ewa Deput

Ewa is a technician working in the IGS PAS. In the project she is responsible for the preparation of thin sections from sediment monoliths, used further by Greta and Maciej in micromorphological analyses.
